Meet influencer Elizabeth Flores!
Elizabeth Flores is a Latina Influencer who showcases her family’s adventures as they travel, play, cook, and grow together! She’s also seasoned at producing sponsored content, with 32 brand collaborations already on the books during her time with Social Native! Her work has boosted brands such as Bimbo breads, FOX entertainment, DoorDash, and Moose Toys. Below she shares about her experience as a Latina influencer creating content together with her husband and twin girls.
Q: What led you to become a creator?
I have always enjoyed sharing and creating content. I started my account as a way to share my love for Disney with our girls, it was almost like a Time Capsule that our girls could look back at. Slowly from there people started to notice our content and our following grew and grew and that’s what allowed us to branch out and not only work with all these amazing brands but also experience some amazing adventures along the way.
Q: What drew you to working as a creator with Social Native?
I was drawn by the fact that Social Native has offered me campaigns working with Latin brands! So far, I’ve had the opportunity to work with Bimbo and Gansito and I hold those collaborations dear to my heart.
Q: How does your heritage impact your channel?
I’m proud to be Mexican-American! I love speaking Spanish and showing my Mexican heritage when creating content!
Q: Tell us about your experience as a Latina influencer.
It can get difficult at times. It’s a bit hard for me to explain what I do as a creator. I’ve been questioned why brands want to work with me. However, I always work hard and give it my all when I’m creating and working with brands.
“I love when brands show diversity on their social media! It’s important to see that a brand is being inclusive, those are the brand I’d like to work with.” @flores_twins_and_fam
Q: What’s the most difficult thing you’ve encountered or had to overcome in your journey of being a Creator?
Actually I like to over deliver when I’m creating for brands! I want to make sure the brand is happy with my content. It’s difficult when a brand doesn’t see your hard work and doesn’t want to pay you for your work and only wants to do product exchange.
Q: What is one thing you think can be done – by brands or other creators or even followers – to better the efforts around diversity and inclusion on social media?
I love when brands show diversity on their social media! It’s important to see that a brand is being inclusive, those are the brand I’d like to work with. When it comes to followers, brands notice how much they engage with us, when they see the support from the community then they see the value in working with us.
Q: In your opinion, how does sponsored content affect your channel and your followers?
I make sure I only work on sponsored content that means something to me. My followers trust me, therefore I don’t take any collaborations that I don’t feel a connection with.
Q: What was your favorite campaign that you have worked on with Social Native and why?
I enjoyed working on the Gansito campaign, because it was exciting for me to share and talk about this campaign with my parents.
Q: Your channel features your family’s adventures together. Tell us about how you include your daughters and husband in the content creation process.
Everything I do, I do for my family! In reality, there’s no Flores Twins and Fam without the support of my family! My husband and I work on all campaigns together, from creating content, writing blogs and captions together. My daughters love taking pictures! They ask me all the time to take their pictures! They love when our followers go up to them and tell them they follow us on Instagram. In short, we do everything as a family!
Q: How do you celebrate your hispanic heritage within your family, particularly with your young girls?
My husband and I are both proud of where we come from. We grew up learning and participating in our family’s Mexican traditions and that’s something we enjoy passing along to our girls. We celebrate everything from Dia de La independencia, Dia de Los Muertos and noche buena. In addition, our parents love sharing traditional foods and clothes with them and we see how proud they get when they see our girls doing things that they also did when they were their age.
Q: Has there been a moment in your career as a creator when you felt you made an impact?
Yes! I love when I get messages from other Moms letting me know they love following me and thanking me for sharing my life with them.
